On June 1, 2017 Microsoft launched the second version of what is now called the Microsoft Cognitive toolkit, to accelerate the process of deep learning. The Open source kit which was earlier known as CNTK, is new range of competition against TensorFlow, Caffe and Torch by Microsoft. This time Microsoft has put efforts into usability, future extensibility, while still maintaining and improving its speed.

Microsoft launched the Microsoft Planner for mobile as well. This app has been launched for both Android and iOS platform allowing to manage the tasks and plan teamwork activities easier.

Telangana government has partnered with financial technology startup Transaction Analysts to launch T-Wallet, the state’s official wallet for both government and private transactions. “T-Wallet is going to be the centerpieces for all transactions in the State,” said Srinivasa Katuri, MD, Chief Executive, Transaction Analysts, which was a part of the Microsoft Accelerator program.

Apart from CBSE’s official websites, SMS and other online portals, candidates can also use Microsoft’s Bing search engine to view their result.

Microsoft’s Bing had joined Google, Pinterest and a few other tech companies when it comes to upgrading their image search capabilities. But Microsoft’s Bing can now enable its users to search for images within images. The new tool called as Bing Visual Search is a part of the search engine’s existing image search tools and appears to be quite easy to use and performs impressively too.

The battle for domination in the desktop operating system has been won by Microsoft’s Windows OS for a long time. With a recent survey done on this topic, Windows confirms its domination once again for the past year. According to NetMarketShare, Windows has been dominating the OS market by 91.35 percent – a shadowing win over Apple macOS 6.40 percent.

Microsoft Planner, the task managing app, has been launched for iOS and Android users. With Microsoft Planner, Office 365 users can efficiently manage and organize their tasks across teams. The app is currently available for iOS users in India, but the Android version hasn’t arrived.

The Telangana Government launched T-Wallet, a digital wallet in association with Vijaya Bank and Hyderabad-based Transaction Analysts, enabling cashless payments. Transaction Analysts, a Microsoft Accelerator alum startup, is a digital payment service platform that is specialized in cashless payments and has been a provider of digital payment services to leading hospitals, colleges, universities, temples and corporate since 2010. Partnering with the Telangana state government on the T-wallet, the company aims to achieve financial inclusion and increase user transactions based on Aadhar, with or without the need for a bank account.

In a bid to help out Indian businesses floundering to comply with the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Ernst & Young (EY) has announced the launch of DigiGST – an integrated GSP-ASP (GST Suvidha Provider- Application Service Provider) solution that provides organizations with end-to-end GST compliance support. The company has hosted DigiGST on Microsoft Azure to ensure security to its clients. DigiGST is built on a fault tolerant and secure Microsoft Azure cloud platform that has the world’s best standards for cloud privacy.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced that top executives from Microsoft, a global technology company with a presence in China for over 20 years, will deliver a keynote address at the upcoming CES Asia 2017.
