Joseph Landes, General Manager, Developer and Platform Evangelism, Microsoft India, said, “Indian start-ups have huge advantage over start-ups in other parts of the world, because the core of the start-up is about technology. India has some of the best developers in the entire world. So when we get a start-up and see the ingenuity to take up something from an idea and bring it into a product, I think we (India) have a big advantage over developers in other parts of the world.”

Microsoft beat Wall Street’s profit expectations in its fiscal third-quarter earnings, and recently anointed CEO Satya Nadella shared details of how he plans to put his unique stamp on the company. For the quarter ending March 31, Microsoft reported a profit of $5.66 billion, or $0.68 per share, on revenue of $20.40 billion. Wall Street analysts were expecting 63 cents per share on revenue of $20.49 billion.

CNBC: Microsoft to increase cloud storage for business users

Microsoft Corp said it will increase its cloud storage offering for business users by 40-fold as the world’s largest software company makes a case for businesses buying an all-in-one product from itself rather than buying technology “piecemeal” from multiple sellers. “The era of making isolated, single-solution decisions is rapidly coming to a close,” wrote John Case, corporate vice president of Microsoft Office Division. Microsoft on Monday raised its OneDrive for Business storage to 1TB per user from 25GB.
