Nabila is Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Microsoft in Malaysia and the Philippines. As part of Microsoft’s Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) team, she works with governments, industry associations, academia, and civil society to shape fit-for-purpose digital regulations that advance security, reliability, and inclusivity across the technology ecosystem.
Prior to Microsoft, Nabila has spent over a decade working at the intersection of technology, policy, and society. Her areas of expertise include digital infrastructure, data governance, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, with a focus on skills development, digital inclusion, accessibility, and emerging technologies shaping the future of work.
In her previous roles, she led Southeast Asia public policy for Cloudflare, established the technology policy division at the Social and Economic Research Initiative (SERI), and led government affairs for Micron Technology (Malaysia).
She holds an LL.B from SOAS, University of London, and an LL.M in Intellectual Property and Information Law from King’s College London.
