Digital innovation is at the heart of our mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. It’s become more prevalent today as economies and businesses embrace digital transformation to build resilience, while facing macroeconomic headwinds.

Much of this transformation and innovation is made possible by our partners, who have shown remarkable flexibility and ingenuity in creating solutions across industries on the Microsoft Cloud. From Azure to Power Platform, our partners work closely with our customers to create new ways to use data and AI (artificial intelligence), enhance their security architecture, build new ways to work, and innovate for a sustainable digital future.

Together with our partners, we have built trust and driven impact at scale, creating economic and societal value for our shared future.

Driving innovation through deeper partnerships

In Singapore, our strategy to build a resilient, digitally inclusive future for Singapore is more relevant than ever. We are pivoting to an industry-led approach to drive innovation across the Microsoft Cloud in areas including data and AI, security, hybrid work and sustainability. Our strength in innovation, coupled with our deep partnerships, puts us in a unique position to make more possible.

Over the past year, the solutions developed by our partners have had tremendous impact across various industries and are transforming the lives of people locally and globally.

For example, the Singapore National Parks Board and Conservation International, together with Microsoft, created Asia’s first AI-based mobile application on Microsoft Azure to help inspection officers quickly identify potential illegal shark and ray fin shipments, and support conservation efforts in our oceans.

Our partners also brought Microsoft Azure to Singapore’s Integrated Health Information Systems, with the creation of an app to future-proof public healthcare and empower patients to take ownership of their health with an in-house system.

Microsoft Cloud is enabling our partners to enhance their learning and training management solutions (LMS) for leading institutes of higher learning (IHLs), training organizations and businesses. LMS empowers educators to provide students with immersive and engaging hybrid learning experiences. Built on the Microsoft Cloud, the platform offers a comprehensive digital learning experience to all users. This includes streamlined admissions and enrollment processes, personalized course scheduling features and secure assessment delivery. With these capabilities, educators are empowered to ensure the relevance of skills for our future workforce, as they address the needs of our evolving economy.

Partnership for impact at scale

Our mission drives who we are and everything we do, as we empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. It’s about using Microsoft’s platforms and technology to create economic value and create a lasting positive impact on our society. Much of this would not be possible without our deep ecosystem of partnerships across both the private and public sector.

In the last 12 months, we opened Microsoft’s first Data Center Academy in Asia in partnership with the Institute for Technical Education to advance applied datacenter skills and create job opportunities.

To accelerate development of sustainable software solutions, we also worked with Infocomm Media Development Authority to announce a collaboration that will empower businesses to measure, track and report their carbon to optimize their resources more easily and advance Singapore’s plan to become a leading innovation digital sustainability hub in Southeast Asia.

We also opened our first Circular Center in Asia located in Singapore, which enables us to collaborate with customers and partners to create a circular economy. The Circular Center enables us to reuse and repurpose decommissioned cloud computing hardware to find new life in schools, as resources for skills training programs and more, while also creating local employment opportunities.

With Power BI, our partners are improving public services in Singapore. For example, we’ve helped AWWA, a disability and community welfare charity, to improve efficiency and scale programs more effectively through better data management and analysis. As part of our commitment to driving inclusion in technology, Microsoft works with our partners to support communities adopt a data-driven approach as well as host workshops for government agencies to educate public officers on the power of analytics, Power BI and how to use data faster and more effectively.

Investing in the creation of sustainable and meaningful innovation is critical in creating broad economic growth for our future and this journey is one we cannot embark on alone.

Igniting deep ecosystem partnerships across the public and private sectors focused on sustainability will contribute to widespread human progress and improve the lives of all those around us.

Recognizing excellence

We will continue to work together across our key industry sectors to strengthen Singapore’s position as a leader for sustainable, resilient innovation for Asia and the world. I’m genuinely excited for the possibilities in innovation that we will unlock together with our partners.

We sincerely extend our thanks to our Microsoft Singapore Partner of the Year Awards 2023 winners, finalists, and our ecosystem of partners for their trust, partnership, and commitment.

Thanks to you, we can make more possible, together.

We look forward to deepening our collaborations in the year ahead as we build a resilient, digitally inclusive Singapore.
