Chief Financial Officer, Microsoft Singapore
Gary Chan is the Chief Financial Officer for Microsoft Singapore. He is responsible for all aspects of financial planning, performance management, business operations, controls, and compliance.
Gary first joined Microsoft in 2011 as the Financial Planning and Analysis Lead for Microsoft New Zealand and has since held multiple finance controllership roles in New Zealand, UK and Singapore.
In that time, he has covered many facets of the Microsoft business including consumer, online advertising, commercial business for emerging markets, and global partner solutions.
Before joining the Singapore team, Gary was the Partner Finance Lead for Microsoft Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for partner strategy, investment, and compliance of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.
Prior to Microsoft, Gary held accounting and finance positions in several New Zealand corporations within the property development and waste management industries.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration from The University of Auckland, New Zealand and is also a qualified member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. He is based in Singapore with his family and is an avid supporter of Chelsea Football Club.
