Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change contest kicks off today

Challenge for Change is back for a third year, tapping into the next generation of big ideas!

Those ages 13-25 are encouraged to submit an idea designed to spark change for good in their community or around the world for a chance to win amazing prizes. Everyone starts somewhere. Sparking change can be big or small – volunteering as a tutor or mentor, organizing campus events, or starting an organization to support a favorite cause. Entries for this online contest will be accepted through March 25.

Entering is easy. Simply answer a few questions about your idea and how Microsoft technology can help make it a reality.

Fifteen finalists from each age group (13-17 years old and 18-25 years old) will win a Surface Pro 3 with Office 365. Five grand prize winners from each age group will go on to win:

    • An amazing, leadership-development trip to Nicaragua learn about creating change
    • $2,500 cash  to help turn their ideas into a reality
    • A Microsoft Windows Phone
    • The opportunity to serve as a Microsoft YouthSpark Advocate for the year

Challenge for Change is part of Microsoft YouthSpark, a company-wide commitment to create education, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people around the world.
