Now in it’s 13th year, Imagine Cup is a global student technology program and competition that provides opportunities for students across all disciplines to team up and use their creativity, passion and knowledge of technology to create applications, games and integrate solutions that can change the way we live, work and play.
July 26th marks the beginning of this year’s 2016 Imagine Cup Worldwide Finals competition at our company headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Student teams from all across the globe will arrive and settle in to the dorms at the University of Washington which will be their home for the duration of the competition. The tournament will kick off on July 27th and activities will wrap up on Friday the 29th with the World Championship, karaoke, games, and food.
While the Imagine Cup teams hail from all over the world, we would like to congratulate the 12 European teams who have made it to the Worldwide Finals. Six of these teams will be competing in the World Citizen category, three within Innovation, and three competing in the Games category. We’d like to wish the best of luck to all the teams competing this year!
