Microsoft founder of European Startup Network

The growth of Europe’s startup scene shows no signs of slowing down.  Since 2011, the number of tech startups alone in Europe has grown more than three times over (The State of European Tech).  The European Startup Network (ESN), founded earlier this year, aims to provide all startups in Europe with the tools and support they need to launch, scale, and succeed.

Jean-Phillipe Courtois, Executive Vice President and President, Microsoft Global Sales, Marketing, and Operations, today announced that Microsoft is now a cloud partner to the ESN.

Speaking at the European Startup Monitor in Brussels, Courtois said “We’re proud to provide ESN with our Azure cloud platform which is helping businesses all over the world to scale. To complement our partnership, we also organize corporate matchmaking, local startup association engagement, and a Go Global Program to help expanding businesses continue their growth internationally.”

Karen Boers, CEO of European Startup Network, added, “This partnership with Microsoft provides European Startup Network with a unique opportunity to have its member associations and startups benefit from the vast experience Microsoft can bring on business dealings across the world as well as the high-level international network the startups will be introduced into.”
