Microsoft appoints Cindy Rose as President of Western Europe, Vahé Torossian to Lead Microsoft’s Business Applications Globally

Microsoft today announced that Cindy Rose, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft UK since July 2016, will become President of Microsoft Western Europe starting October 1st, 2020. Rose succeeds Vahé Torossian, who has led the company’s business across Western Europe since 2017, and who is moving to lead Microsoft’s Business Applications Division at the company’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Torossian’s appointment is also effective from October 1st.

Rose will be responsible for all of Microsoft’s commercial product, service and support offerings across Western Europe, an area that comprises 12 subsidiaries and 14 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Succeeding Rose in the UK is Clare Barclay, currently Chief Operating Officer at Microsoft UK.  Barclay, who has worked at Microsoft for 22 years, will become Microsoft UK’s Chief Executive Officer on October 1st 2020.
