Upgrade Your World campaign seeks tenth non-profit to receive a $500,000 donation plus technology and services from Microsoft
Today technology holds the potential to improve all facets of our daily lives – whether it’s staying in touch with loved ones or helping us to be our very best at work, ICT innovation is helping all of us to improve the world we live in every single day.
To celebrate technology’s role in shaping our world for the better, and to commemorate the launch of Windows 10, we have unveiled a brand new initiative with this very aim at its heart – Upgrade Your World. Designed to celebrate and empower those whose sole purpose is to shape a better tomorrow, a key element of the project sees Microsoft donate $10 million to a range of non-profit organizations. Furthermore, we will partner with 10 global non-profits to tell the inspiring stories behind how they are addressing issues like poverty, HIV, lack of access to education, humanitarian turmoil and protecting the environment.
With nine of these already selected we want your help to choose the tenth and final non-profit to partner with. Each will receive $500,000, as well Microsoft products and services, so your vote really could make an enormous difference to an organization you feel passionate about.
We’re incredibly excited to learn more about all of the great non-profits nominated during this process. We’re sure you will have lots of ideas around the worthy organizations that would benefit from this support, particularly here in Europe.
