The Prompt: Using Copilot as your crystal ball

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a crystal ball to see what the future holds?  The next best thing is using AI to create a vision and habits that will help you max out your potential in the coming year. Big ideas deserve a plan, right? 

This prompt helps you look forward and craft your 2026 vision. Just answer thoughtful, step-by-step questions and watch your goals take shape.  

First, open Word and select Copilot from the ribbon to open Copilot Chat. Select the Tools icon in the prompt composer and select Agent mode. Now, paste in the below prompt and follow along. 

Guide me through creating my 2026 vision and goals. Ask me five thoughtful, sequential questions one at a time based on my role, recent projects and organizational context. After I answer the fifth question, synthesize my responses into: A compelling 2026 story that reflects my aspirations and impact, a powerful affirmation for 2026, and my top five goals for 2026, aligned with my role and priorities. Finally provide a short summary on what I am most excited about as we look ahead to what’s next with AI and innovation in 2026.
