Lauren Myers Cavanagh is Head of Communications for Microsoft in Asia. In this role, Lauren focuses on understanding the implications of AI for the field of communications and helping explain AI to the world.

Before joining Microsoft, Lauren led communications for Twitter in Asia, where the focus was on protecting the company’s corporate and social licence to operate while growing audience and revenue across more than a dozen markets.

Prior to Twitter, Lauren spent six years at Edelman in a range of roles, including Director of Communications & Special Projects for Asia Pacific, and previously served as Chief of Staff to Edelman’s UK CEO. Lauren began her career in government, working with Michel Barnier during his time as Commissioner for the European Single Market.
