Enhanced cloud-based productivity experience for consumers and business customers in Thailand, achieved through best-in-class integration between the AIS network and Microsoft’s world-class cloud platform – plus superior convenience through joint billing

Microsoft Corporation and AIS have entered a landmark partnership to provide Thai customers with the most secure and reliable access infrastructure, exclusively for Microsoft cloud service customers on the AIS network. Under this agreement, AIS will become the first Microsoft cloud service partner in Thailand with best-in-class platform integration and network interconnectivity – allowing all customers, from enterprises to individual consumers, to experience superior performance in the cloud.

Through this enhanced access infrastructure, AIS and Microsoft are able to offer the best possible experience to Microsoft cloud users in Thailand with the deepest level of network interconnectivity and integration, optimal stability, and the best protection from cyber threats. Furthermore, a simplified billing arrangement combines service and connection fees into one bill for convenience, while business customers can take advantage of enterprise-grade support.

All AIS customers in Thailand will benefit from the following enhancements when using Microsoft’s cloud services:

  • Business customers using Microsoft cloud services – including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Dynamics 365, EMS, and more – via AIS’s Enterprise Data Service (EDS) or corporate internet service will see a reduction in costs as they previously had to pay for international bandwidth for connecting to Microsoft’s overseas data center.
  • AIS customers using Microsoft cloud services such as Outlook, OneDrive, and Skype for Business on a mobile device with AIS’s 3G, 4G, or WiFi service will see an improved usage experience with a more stable connection.
  • Microsoft cloud service (e.g. Office 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, EMS) customers in Thailand on the AIS network will be able to access an array of Microsoft apps much faster thanks to deeply integrated network infrastructure.

“Digital transformation is happening here and now, and an intelligent and secure cloud platform has quickly become a critical component to business success in the Thailand 4.0 era,” said Dhanawat Suthumpun, Managing Director, Microsoft (Thailand) Limited. “At the same time, businesses require world-class network infrastructure and security standards to take full advantage of the cloud. The agreement sees AIS join the ranks of Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers as a partner providing optimized integration with Microsoft’s cloud service facilities in Singapore and Hong Kong. Furthermore, customers can enjoy peace of mind thanks to Microsoft’s industry-leading security and privacy standards, fully redundant services with 99.5% guaranteed uptime, and 24/7 support from trained professionals.
