2024 is set to be the year of artificial intelligence (AI), with the use of generative AI in the workplace nearly doubling in the first six months. According to Microsoft’s 2024 Work Trends Index Annual Report, 64% of employees worldwide are struggling with the pressure to keep up with the pace and workload. With the exponential increase in emails and meetings, 70% of employees want AI to help them reduce their burden so they can focus more on creative and strategic work.

In Vietnam, 88% of knowledge workers are currently using generative AI in the workplace. Many of them say that generative AI saves time, enhances creativity and allows them to focus on important tasks. Generative AI has penetrated every field and industry in life. In fact, organizations and businesses that have implemented generative AI solutions early observed potential improvements.

De Heus, a global agricultural group headquartered in the Netherlands and Asia office in Vietnam specializing in sustainable animal feed production with more than 8,000 employees and 80 factories worldwide, has been growing rapidly and has been engaging in many big M&As for many years. Therefore, De Heus always focuses on standardizing data and processes, and ensuring security across the entire system. Besides, De Heus also wants to leverage Generative AI to enable employees to make good use of and exploit the rich data sources across the entire system for their daily work.

Mr. Ma Van Phuoc (Poc Ma), Group Director IT of De Heus, said: “De Heus believes that AI is the internet of 20 years ago and that businesses that quickly utilize AI tools in their business operations will have a superior competitive advantage. Because of that belief, De Heus has confidently cooperated with Microsoft and SoftwareOne, Microsoft’s global partner in Vietnam, to deploy the Microsoft 365 Copilot solution.”

Seamlessly integrating familiar Microsoft 365 office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other applications, Microsoft 365 Copilot acts as a virtual assistant at work to empower De Heus employees to save time and efforts. This not only boosts productivity but also fosters a culture of innovation within the company, allowing employees to focus on more creative and strategic tasks.

Ms. Nguyen Quynh Tram, Country General Manager of Microsoft Vietnam, said: “Integrating Copilot on every desk of business, regardless of size or industry, is at the core of Microsoft. Today, more than 60% of Fortune 500 companies have adopted Copilot to enhance collaboration, automate processes, foster innovation and increase business performance. We are proud that De Heus, a global sustainable animal feed producer, has trusted Microsoft 365 Copilot as a powerful assistant for employees to maximize human potential in the era of AI .”

Microsoft 365 Copilot helps De Heus employees analyze long email threads, suggest responses, and help find relevant information. Microsoft 365 Copilot also helps provide reminders of important tasks to complete, summarize and analyze meeting content, and track assigned tasks on Teams.

In addition, Microsoft 365 Copilot also can use a variety of available document and content sources, for example from Words to create PowerPoints presentations. For purchasing staff, Microsoft 365 Copilot also helps them by comparing information from projects, contracts, and transaction histories to provide recommendations.

In particular, Microsoft 365 Copilot is also a powerful assistant to help financial accounting staff quickly query data, analyze data from many different sources, supporting the decision-making process.

In addition, De Heus is currently working with Microsoft and SoftwareOne to deploy the Microsoft 365 E3 package and build a security platform across the entire group, helping De Heus manage users’ devices and data, especially when using Copilot. In the future, De Heus also plans to scale across the entire organization with Microsoft Copilot for Studio.
