Microsoft Announces 1999 Industry Solution Awards Winners For Financial Services

NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 1999 — Microsoft Corp. announced the winners of the 1999 Industry Solution Awards (ISAs) for Financial Services at the Windows® in Financial Services Day Conference on Tuesday. These awards showcase organizations in the financial services industry that are combining Microsoft® platform applications and development tools with custom-developed applications and products from independent software vendors to solve critical business problems. Winners and finalists were selected by an independent panel of judges, which scored entries based on their ability to provide tangible business benefits to financial services customers using Microsoft technology, specifically the Windows NT® -based server operating system and the BackOffice® family of products.

“We are excited about the diverse range of innovative and scalable applications from all the companies that entered this competition,”
said Bill Hartnett, director of financial services at Microsoft.
“The winning solutions demonstrate how Microsoft platform technologies can be used as the basis for powerful, flexible and scalable systems that enable financial services organizations to handle an enterprisewide networked environment for lower total cost of ownership.”
