Microsoft, IDG Books Worldwide, Barnes & Noble Team Up For Nationwide Windows Developer Mania
REDMOND, Wash., May 18, 1998 — Microsoft Corp., IDG Books Worldwide Inc. and Barnes & Noble Inc. last week kicked off Windows® Developer Mania, a monthlong promotion taking place across North America through June 15. Developer Mania will showcase the latest technologies and tools in the Microsoft® Windows operating system through special events, prizes, discounts and a monthlong sweepstakes at more than 400 Barnes & Noble stores nationwide. As part of this promotion, participants can receive special offers from IDG Books Worldwide, attend one of 20 special Microsoft presentations, be eligible to win a variety of prizes in the Developer Mania Sweepstakes, and also receive CD-ROMs filled with information and tools necessary to create Windows-based applications quickly and easily.
