Microsoft Announces System Preparation Tool For Windows NT Workstation 4.0

REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 6, 1998 — Marking the first of several upcoming tools continuing to make Microsoft® Windows NT® Workstation 4.0 the mainstream business desktop, Microsoft Corp. today announced that the system preparation tool for Windows NT Workstation 4.0 is now available for order. This new tool provides an easy and efficient way for business customers to deploy Windows NT Workstation 4.0 throughout their organizations.

The Microsoft system preparation tool for Windows NT Workstation 4.0 is a simple utility that prepares a PC’s hard disk for duplication. Once the disk is prepared, customers can use a variety of third-party utilities to easily deploy Windows NT Workstation 4.0 on multiple systems throughout their organizations. Companies like Symantec and Altiris are excited that Microsoft is providing a product that eases deployment, lowers TCO and improves manageability for corporate customers.
