REDMOND, Wash., June 20, 2001 — Microsoft Corp. today announced the availability of two new gaming PocketPaks for the Pocket PC. Both the Microsoft® Games PocketPak and the Microsoft Arcade PocketPak offer customers a wide variety of choices for high-quality gaming on their Pocket PC in an easy-to-install package. The Microsoft Games PocketPak includes five business-themed games developed by Rapture Technologies Inc.:
“Fire Drill,” “Cubicle,” “Stock Scramble,” “Task Master”
and
“Killer Commute.”
The Microsoft Arcade PocketPak is a collection of all-time arcade favorites including Pac-Man, Ms. Pac Man and Dig-Dug.
PocketPaks are solutions designed by Microsoft and independent software and hardware vendors (ISVs, IHVs) that expand the functionality of Pocket PCs. PocketPaks enable Pocket PC owners to easily add programs and functionality to their devices — from wireless modems to cameras to GPS solutions — to fit their particular mobile needs.
