International Real Estate Firm The Staubach Company Builds Financial Management and Human Resources Power With Microsoft Dynamics GP

REDMOND, Wash. — Sept. 25, 2006 — Microsoft Corp. today announced that The Staubach Company, a global commercial real estate advisory firm, has selected Microsoft Dynamics™ GP to power its financial and human resources processes. The company, based near Dallas, has more than 60 offices and 1,300 employees worldwide and will leverage the solution to run finance for its corporate offices, integrate data from its satellite locations and make it easier for its people to connect to the company and to one another.

“As our company continues to grow, technology is the glue that holds communications together,” said John Scheibe, executive vice president of corporate operations and chief information officer of Staubach. “Microsoft tends to create products from a customer’s point of view. They have also already done the R&D to help ensure the ‘plumbing’ works. This frees up our IT team to focus on the real business value the technology has to offer, which essentially is keeping our people connected to each other and to the information they need to succeed.”

Staubach professionals will benefit from Microsoft Dynamics GP’s tight integration with Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server technologies through a self-service portal linking them directly to a variety of human resources tools. They will be able to easily enter time and expenses, view pay stubs, change personal information, and participate in other key processes online and through the company’s intranet. This integration will simultaneously help Staubach move away from a paper-based human resources model. Staubach also will benefit because Microsoft Dynamics GP is, like all Microsoft products, a “People-Ready” solution focused on empowering people as business’ most important asset, including a user-friendly interface, a deep level of information accessibility, and rich internal and external communication tools.

Microsoft Dynamics GP will also allow the company to better manage its financials. The company, which incorporates more than 100 profit centers, will benefit from a “dashboard” view of those operations, allowing cost-tracking and analysis at the deal level for thousands of transactions per year, some of which span multiple fiscal years. Dramatic improvements to general ledger efficiency are expected to include shortened monthly close cycles. Staubach will also bring its payroll systems in-house, recouping a previously significant outsourcing budget and adding increased payroll functionality that will make the system simpler to work with for accounting teams and management alike.

“With Microsoft Dynamics GP and the overall Microsoft product line, it’s all about easy access to the crucial information business decision-makers need at their fingertips,” said Jon Pratt, senior director of product marketing for Microsoft Dynamics GP at Microsoft. “Our People-Ready platform is configured to put the focus on power of information, not complexity of administration.”

Microsoft Dynamics GP is a comprehensive and highly scalable business-management solution that offers a cost-effective way to manage and integrate finances, e-commerce, supply chain, manufacturing, project accounting, field service, customer relationships and human resources. Based on the familiar Microsoft Office interface, Microsoft Dynamics GP makes it easy for executives, managers and staff to access information that is meaningful to their specific role and responsibilities, gain deep contextual insight into what key drivers matter to their business, and improve efficiency throughout their organization. The solution is also easy to configure and maintain, further adding to overall return on investment.

Tampa, Fla.-based Tribridge Inc. was chosen to implement Staubach’s new solution based on its experience in the delivery of real estate industry solutions built on Microsoft technologies. The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner indicated that, for Staubach’s needs, Microsoft Dynamics GP was the clear choice.

“Real estate is a key line of business for us,” said Bobby Priestley, managing director of Texas at Tribridge, “and Microsoft Dynamics products give us a significant advantage in delivering the most highly functioning solutions in that vertical. Our real estate clients see great business results from Microsoft Dynamics GP integrated with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. When we were called in to work with Staubach, there was really no question that Microsoft Dynamics GP was the right fit. Its out-of-the-box features are easily configurable to align with the unique intricacies of a global real estate firm’s needs. We believe that the solution, sitting on top of their existing Microsoft platform, is going to put them light-years ahead of their previous solution, as well as their competition.”
