NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 1999 — Today at the DCI Data Warehouse World conference, Microsoft Corp. announced the winners of the 1999 Industry Solution Awards (ISAs) for knowledge management and business intelligence/data warehousing. The awards were presented to five leading independent software vendors – including Action Technologies Inc., Open Text Corp., PC DOCS/Fulcrum, JetForm Corp. and Knosys Inc. – in a ceremony at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
Winners and finalists were selected by an independent panel of judges, who scored entries based on their use of the Microsoft® Windows NT® Server operating system and the BackOffice® family of products to provide tangible business benefits for knowledge management and business intelligence/data warehousing. Vendors with solutions selected as ISA finalists include Abuzz Technologies, Action Technologies Inc., Appsco Software Ltd., Compaq Computer Corp., Intranet System A/S, JetForm Corp., Keyfile Corp., Knosys Inc., Maximal Innovative Intelligence Ltd., Open Text Corp., PC DOCS/Fulcrum, Report2Web Corp. and 80-20 Software Inc.
