Outlook.com introduced

Microsoft purchased Hotmail, one of the world’s first webmail services, in 1997, replacing it with Outlook.com six years later. The service, available in numerous languages, offered features including folders and filters, calendars, message searching, import and export of contacts and the ability to connect to social networks.

Within six months of its preview, Outlook.com had 60 million customers. Outlook mobile was released in 2015, with many of the same features as the desktop version.
