At Open Compute Project (OCP) Summit 2017, Qualcomm Incorporated, through its subsidiary, Qualcomm Datacenter Technologies, Inc. (QDT), has announced a collaboration with Microsoft to accelerate next generation cloud services on its 10 nanometer Qualcomm Centriq 2400 platform. This collaboration will span multiple future generations of hardware, software and systems.

Microsoft has announced a premium subscription based service that gives consumers access to over 100 Xbox One and 360 titles to choose and play from. The Xbox Games Pass is akin to other subscription based services like Netflix or Origin Access, wherein, for & monthly subscription fee, you get access to a plethora of titles to pick and play.

With Windows 10, OneDrive comes inbuilt promising 5GB of free space, but beyond that a fee is required. The ad offers a $6.99 subscription plan that gives you 1TB of cloud storage, and free Office 365 subscription. While the deal might be lucrative for many users, it does not necessarily need to be advertised in such a manner.

Recognizing the role startups in play in accelerating India’s digital transformation, Microsoft has selected 14 Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning startups to help increase their Enterprise Readiness and go-to-market strategies. These mature startups, will undergo an intensive program at the Microsoft Accelerator in Bengaluru to increase their Enterprise Readiness Quotient.

Microsoft’s Azure Stack Technical Preview 3 (TP3) cloud technology is now available in India. It is a hybrid cloud solution which helps customers run Azure cloud in their on-premise environments with the facility of pay-as-you-use pricing.

In a recent global survey conducted by Microsoft, it was revealed that 61 percent women in India had faced online risk personally, and around 65 percent reported that they knew of family or a friend who had been subjected to it. While 70 percent reported being highly concerned about online safety, the concern is that only 42 percent of women knew where to get help.

Announcing its 10th cohort of startups, Microsoft Accelerator that focuses on growth-stage startups has continued its narrative to undertake and accelerate business-to-business (B2B) or enterprise-focused startups for its four-month long accelerator program.

Microsoft announced Teams back in November, but so far it’s been limited to a fairly small batch of preview users. On March 14, at 8:30AM PT, Microsoft will host an online event marking general availability for Office 365 users, where users can expect the company to show off how to use some of Teams’ best features, and perhaps even some new integrations they haven’t seen yet.
