Skype’s real-time language translator is impressive already. Later this summer, Skype Translator Preview will break out of the Windows Store and become a feature in Skype’s main desktop software. Skype Translator acts like a human interpreter for video calls, listening to words in one language and speaking them in another – albeit with a computerized voice. It also shows a text version of the translation in a chat window.

Mango Man, the makers of the recently launched Teewe 2, have announced the launch of Teewe app for Windows. The new Teewe app allows Windows users to stream their media content on their phone, tablet and PC. According to the company, the new app has already received over 7,000 downloads and features on the Windows store with an average rating of 4.5 stars.

A new Microsoft service lets people upload a pair of photos to the web and get back a similarity score that ranges from ‘completely unrelated’ to “OMG, clones!!!” It’s powered by Microsoft’s Project Oxford Face API, which lets developers handle image recognition problems, like determining whether people are related, by using the company’s Azure cloud platform. This is another novel use of Microsoft’s image recognition technology.

Microsoft gave its privacy policy and service agreement a facelift and offered users a new central clearinghouse to manage privacy settings for all the data the company keeps about them. The newly-minted privacy dashboard gives users links to control data stored for personalizing their experience on Bing, what apps and services use their information. It’s part of a move by the company to unify and simplify most of its service agreements and privacy policies for various products under one document.

Software giant Microsoft will launch the latest version of its operating system, Windows 10, on July 29 across 190 countries. “Windows 10 will be available … as a free upgrade to customers running on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1,” Microsoft said in a statement. “Windows 10 marks the beginning of a new era of personal technology, designed to empower people to do great things.”

Announcing the acquisition of productivity app Wunderlist, Microsoft stated, “Customers can expect the app to remain free in all of its existing markets. There will be no price changes for Wunderlist Pro or Wunderlist for Business customers and the service will continue to support a wide range of third-party apps and integrated services. In the months to come, we’ll share what’s in store as we build on and apply Wunderlist’s innovations to Microsoft’s apps and services.”

Outlook.com users are getting a redesigned Skype experience that will run alongside their inboxes on the web. The new design, which Microsoft announced Wednesday, puts users’ Skype contacts, messaging and video chat in a pane to the right of the inbox. One-on-one conversations and group chats are displayed in a column of bubbles along the right-hand side of the window, so users can get easy access to them.

The new Infosys website runs running on the updated version of content management solution, i.e. Sharepoint 2013, and the infrastructure is hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud platform in US and Europe data centers, addressed as primary and secondary setup. The new website provides better user experience across different devices – desktops, tablets and mobiles with performance improvement of 60%.
