Lenovo and Microsoft, at Lenovo Tech World, announced a collaboration to transform the way people find their content in a new, more personal way with Cortana and REACHit. Lenovo REACHit extends the search capabilities of Cortana for Windows 10 devices with REACHit’s ability to search for content across any connected Lenovo PC or tablet device running Windows 10 and many major cloud services.

Microsoft is enacting policies for its Windows Store that are designed to make it easier for users to find quality apps, and also clamp down on developers who abuse keywords to take undue advantage of the Store’s search results. “When there are many apps that do not provide differentiated value, some may be removed from the Store,” Bernardo Zamora, a product manager on the Windows Apps and Store team, said in a blog post.

Microsoft, after announcing partnerships with Cyanogen and Samsung to get its productivity app suite pre-installed on their devices, has now expanded its strategic agreements to add 20 more partners including global players – LG and Sony. The 20 new OEM partners will pre-install Microsoft’s productivity applications and services – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype – on their Android tablets in the future.

Microsoft will open the country’s first Digital Experience Centre in Vadodara in collaboration with the Vadodara Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “Managed by Microsoft’s distributor Ingram Micro, the centre will help businesses, institutions, partners and individuals gain a first-hand experience of modern technologies on devices running Microsoft software, including Windows apps and Office 365.,” Manohar Hotchandani, Director, Business Development at Microsoft India announced.
