The Times of India: Microsoft to organize ‘Saksham’ at M S University

Microsoft India has selected M S University for imparting a faculty empowerment programme titled ‘Saksham’. Microsoft has designed this internet and communication technology (ICT) training program for higher education in the university aligned with the objectives of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) policy of the union ministry of human resource development, New Delhi. All participants will be given certificates by Microsoft after attending all six days of training.

CNBC: Samsung to pre-install Microsoft apps on Android tablets

Microsoft Corp’s Office apps will be pre-installed in some Samsung tablets running Google’s Android system, extending an agreement to put some Microsoft apps on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 phone. The move is the latest sign that Microsoft is pushing to get its cloud-enabled software into the hands of as many customers as possible, regardless of the platform or device.

Gaming Bolt: Mortal Kombat X pre-orders now available on Xbox One

NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat X is now available for pre-order on the Xbox One through Xbox Live. Pre-download dates haven’t been revealed yet but the option will be available before the game launches. Mortal Kombat X will be the developer’s first Mortal Kombat title for current-gen platforms and will also introduce its most comprehensive online feature set.
