Earlier this year, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said our company observed “two years’ worth of digital transformation in two months.” All of us have been impacted by the ongoing pandemic and the resulting transition to remote work. The past six months has shown us that no organization is immune from disruption, and it is now more crucial than ever that companies innovate and embrace digital transformation to future-proof their businesses.
Despite the difficulties, we have seen our partners leverage opportunities across the intelligent cloud and edge – enabling all types of organizations to connect and operate. We have seen remarkable displays of agility and creativity as partners navigate a new normal for their businesses, while striving to bring innovative solutions and services to customers through the adoption of Microsoft’s cloud services and technology.
The Microsoft Malaysia Partner community has also seen incredible growth this past year. 389 new Malaysian partners joined our ecosystem, exemplifying their trust in the Microsoft partnership and how our collective customers are increasingly looking to companies like us in the tech industry to help them recover, rebuild and reimagine their business, as they address the challenges of COVID-19, and its reverberating ramifications.
Investing in the partner experience
As we come to the close of a challenging year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners for their tenacity and recognize the great work that they do with our customers across a plethora of industries. This year, as we celebrate Microsoft’s 27 years in Malaysia, we also celebrate 27 years of close collaboration and rapport with our partners. Together, we are working toward shared goals: innovating and delivering new solutions while driving customers’ success and digital transformation. The strength of our stack and the reach and expertise of our partners make our goals achievable, our offering unique, and our impact undeniable.
The 2020 Microsoft Malaysia Partner of the Year Awards is especially significant, and it is important that we celebrate these partnerships and excellence. This year’s winners shine for their excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions that transformed businesses, cities, homes, and experiences. More vitally, we witnessed how they thrived amidst chaos and engendered economic opportunities and societal impact in Malaysia at a challenging time – a true display of grit and excellence.
