Mazhar Zoaib appointed as Microsoft Malaysia’s General Manager for Customer Success
KUALA LUMPUR, 12 Jan 2021 – Microsoft Malaysia is delighted to announce the expansion of its senior leadership team, with the appointment of Mazhar Zoaib Ali to the newly created role of General Manager for Customer Success.
In this role, Mazhar plays a critical role in supporting customers on their digital transformation journey and ensuring that they realize the full value of their investments in Microsoft products and services. At a time when customers are continuing to innovate at a pace few could have imagined, Mazhar develops and leads a highly technical team who is at the forefront of their digital journey. Together, they bring Microsoft solutions to life across all four Microsoft solution areas: Modern Workplace, Business Applications, Applications & Infrastructure, and Data and Artificial Intelligence.
Mazhar is a seasoned IT professional who possesses more than 20 years of broad geographical experience in enterprise cloud, software and hardware solution space with well-rounded technology skills and cross-industry domain knowledge. He has worked across a spectrum of job roles, ranging from training to technical support, database and infrastructure management, solution architecture design as well as consultative selling of technology products.

As organizations in Malaysia are fast gaining momentum on the cloud, I am excited with the opportunities ahead as we further propel their digital growth together,” said Mazhar.
Prior to Microsoft, Mazhar spent more than 14 years with Oracle. In his most recent role, Mazhar was with Oracle’s APAC Cloud Engineering Hub team, where he led a diverse group of cloud architects, engineers and customer success managers focusing on evangelism, advisory, adoption, consumption and expansion of IaaS and PaaS solution portfolio for ASEAN, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. In between his career with Oracle, Mazhar has also been with Microsoft Malaysia in 2014 as a Data Platform Solution Specialist.
On his return to Microsoft for the second time, Mazhar added, “It’s an absolute honor for me to be joining Microsoft for the second time. He added that Mazhar’s caliber and expertise will help provide a holistic customer experience. “I’m excited to have Mazhar joining our team. With his extensive experience, he brings valuable insight to our customers’ needs as well as exceptional leadership qualities. This will help ensure we bring customers exceptional support and resources during these crucial times, thus further accelerating their digital transformation success.”
The appointment of Mazhar comes shortly after two new additions to its senior leadership team – Millie Yong as Director of Solution Sales and Azizah Ali as the Director of Small, Medium and Corporate (SMC) Group. This is in line with Microsoft’s focus to strengthen and accelerate the digital growth of customers in Malaysia.
