Senior Director, Enterprise Business,

Azhar Abdullah is the Senior Director for Enterprise Business at Microsoft Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, Azhar leads a dynamic team of account executives and technologists, supported by a robust local and regional partner ecosystem, to realize Microsoft’s mission of empowering every person and every organization in Malaysia to achieve more.
Azhar and his team partner with Malaysia’s leading enterprises on their journey to becoming Frontier Firms — the strategic shift to secure, AI-first organizations where human ambition and machine intelligence work together.
Previously, Azhar led Microsoft’s Public Sector business in Malaysia for the past two years, where he was instrumental in driving strategic Cloud & AI transformation across Government ministries, agencies, and statutory bodies, as part of the Microsoft Malaysia leadership team.
Before joining Microsoft, Azhar was Country Sales Leader for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Malaysia and Brunei from 2020 to 2024. Earlier in his career, he spent 22 years with Schlumberger (SLB), holding sales, supply chain, human resources, and general management roles across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, culminating as Country Managing Director for Malaysia.
Azhar completed IMD Switzerland’s Strategic Finance Program in Lausanne and is a graduate of Stanford University, USA, where he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Outside of work, he cherishes time with his family and his volunteer commitments as a Stanford University college interviewer for Malaysia and as an Industry Advisor to Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Department of Management.
