- Minsait will offer data sovereignty services with encryption management technologies needed to manage Microsoft cloud, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365.
- Minsait and Microsoft’s joint cloud solutions meet the most stringent legal and technical requirements for the principles of cloud trust (Trusted Cloud) and data sovereignty.
Microsoft has expanded its alliance with Minsait, an Indra company, to offer Spanish companies and public administrations a complete range of hybrid cloud solutions and services to facilitate and accelerate their migration to the cloud. This joint offering includes monitoring and encryption services to extend the security and privacy of data in the Microsoft cloud to meet data sovereignty needs.
Minsait and Microsoft will provide solutions that meet the most demanding legal and technical requirements for the principles of cloud trust (Trusted Cloud) and data sovereignty, in accordance with the criteria defined by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), as well as at the national level.
Minsait will ensure the management of external encryption keys, access and identities, and will monitor and track cyber threats from its Cybersecurity Operations Center. In addition, it will provide infrastructure management services in a hybrid cloud model with Microsoft to quickly and homogeneously adopt the standards of the different institutions, and will guarantee service operations by physically auditing and monitoring the data centers required by customers for their service.
Microsoft, for its part, will provide hybrid cloud services that extend privacy and security guarantees, in response to the needs of data sovereignty. These guarantees include certification of compliance with the high level of the National Security Scheme; a contractual commitment to its customers to legally oppose requests for access to their data by any government where there is a legal basis to do so; as well as the ability for the company’s customers to process and store data within the EU for Microsoft’s core cloud services: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365.
The combined capabilities of Minsait and Microsoft will accelerate the digital transformation and migration to the cloud of Spanish companies and public administrations through Microsoft’s current cloud environment, as well as the new Data Center Cloud Region that the company will soon open in Spain, which will feature the most advanced technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of Spanish customers and contribute to environmental sustainability.
“Thanks to our alliance with Microsoft, we will be able to help Spanish organizations incorporate the latest technologies to foster a secure and successful recovery in Spain with a sustainable approach and all the security and encryption guarantees needed to protect citizens’ rights and information privacy,” says Carlos Beldarrain, Head of Data Cloud at Minsait.
“Our alliance with Minsait will accelerate the adoption of cloud solutions that meet all the security and privacy requirements defined by the EDPB, responding to the data control needs of Spanish companies and public administrations,” said Alberto Granados, president of Microsoft Spain.
This agreement is in addition to the one signed last June between both companies, whereby Microsoft recognizes Minsait as a strategic partner in Data and Analytics for its new Data Center Cloud Region in Spain. In addition, Minsait was also named Microsoft Partner of the Year 2021 in Spain for the Data and Power Platform categories at “Inspire 2021”, one of Microsoft’s most important events.
Minsait has a differential proposal in the Cloud-Data field to accompany companies and organizations in their transition to the cloud, from the transformation of core systems with proprietary methodologies developed from experience to the creation of digital native assets and processes based on knowledge of the data and with the responsibility of generating impact.
To provide this, it relies on a strong end-to-end technological ecosystem based on strategic alliances with the main cloud providers and a network of more than 5,000 professionals specialized in the most relevant technologies.
Microsoft was the first hyper-scale cloud provider to achieve the National Security Scheme high-level compliance certification in 2016, demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering cloud products with the highest security requirements. This certification is available for all three Microsoft public clouds: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. Microsoft was also the first vendor to provide Azure Confidential Computing services. These Microsoft cloud services add in-use protection to existing protections for data in transit and at rest, ensuring maximum privacy.
