REDMOND, Wash., Nov. 26, 1996 — Microsoft® Greetings Workshop, the fun-to-use new home desktop publishing application from Microsoft Corp. and Hallmark Connections
™
, now provides users with more ways to stay in touch. Greetings Workshop Internet Delivery is a free companion application to Greetings Workshop that allows users with Internet access to take any project – such as cards, signs, flyers or banners – previously created with Greetings Workshop and send it to their friends and family across the Internet. Greetings Workshop Internet Delivery will also allow users to create a
“mini-Web site”
on their hard drive and set up the project as a site on the World Wide Web, if they have access to an Internet server.
The recipient will be able to page through the project and see all the formatted graphics and text – even personal photographs. Recipients do not need to have Greetings Workshop to view the project; all they need is an Internet browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer) to page through it and even print it.
Greetings Workshop users can visit the Greetings Workshop Web site today – (http://greetingsworkshop.MSN.com/) – to download the new Greetings Workshop Internet Delivery for FREE. Microsoft Internet Explorer can be downloaded for FREE as well, from http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ (connect-time charges may apply).
This holiday, Greetings Workshop is also participating in the Pepsi-Cola Co. and Microsoft
“High-Tech Holiday”
promotion. Greetings Workshop users can visit the
“High-Tech Holiday”
Web site, (http://www.pepsi.com/) , to download the FREE Greetings Workshop Pepsi add-on pack to create cards, invitations, banners and more using the same characters they will see in Pepsi commercials on TV this holiday season.
