Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition To Be Embedded In Pandesic’s E-Business Solution
NEW YORK, April 27, 1998 — Pandesic LLC and Microsoft Corp. today announced that Pandesic LLC plans to embed the new Microsoft Ò Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition into the Pandesic
e-business solution. The companies made their joint announcement here today at the launch of Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition and Microsoft Site Server 3.0.
The move will allow customers to purchase a single integrated commerce solution, which includes Pandesic’s fully preconfigured solution for Web-related business cycles as well as Microsoft’s comprehensive Internet server product for commerce solutions. The announcement is part of a broader, nonexclusive plan whereby the two companies intend to work together to promote the Microsoft platform and Pandesic’s e-business solutions.
“Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition is the perfect complement to the Pandesic solution,”
said Harold Hughes, CEO and president of Pandesic LLC.
“The combination of Microsoft and Pandesic resources and technology, applied to the Web merchant’s dilemma of how to invest in acquiring, converting and retaining customers profitably, will result in an unbeatable solution.”
“Online commerce is only part of what customers need to gain maximum business advantage from the Web,”
said Anthony Bay, general manager of the commercial systems division at Microsoft.
“Pandesic streamlines and automates the entire business cycle, so merchants are free from worrying about complex but routine back-end business processes. The combination of Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition and Pandesic’s e-business solution is a win for customers.”
