Microsoft Announces Finalists for the 1999 Industry Solution Awards For Customer Relationship Management

REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 18, 1999 — Microsoft Corp. has announced the finalists for the 1999 Industry Solution Awards for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The awards recognize the independent software vendors in the customer relationship management industry that best utilize Microsoft® technology. An independent panel of judges selected the finalists based on their use of the BackOffice® family of products, the Windows NT® Server operating system and Microsoft SQL Server TM to provide tangible benefits to businesses. Finalists will be showcased and the winners announced at the DCI Customer Relationship Management Conference and Expo to be held in Boston on Oct. 25-26.

Finalists were selected in six categories: best mobile solution, best call center solution, best integrated customer relationship management solution, best Internet solution for customer self service, best Internet solution for partner relationship management, and best Internet solution — other applications.

The finalists are scheduled to demonstrate their solutions for the judges on site at the DCI Customer Relationship Management Conference and Expo on Oct. 25. Winners will be selected after the demonstrations and announced in a special ceremony on Oct. 26 at the conference, located in the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. Winning solutions will be showcased in Sales & Marketing Automation magazine.
