Four Years of Integration and Business Process Automation Innovation

Since the initial release of BizTalk Server, Microsoft has focused on feedback from customers and partners to drive product development and innovation. That focus has earned BizTalk Server more than 4,000 customers in four years, giving it the largest customer base.

“We initially deployed BizTalk Server and the Microsoft platform to help us build a loss-prevention solution that would connect and expose the data inside our existing retail systems and applications,”
said Robert Fort, director of IT for Virgin Entertainment Group.
“As a result of our use of BizTalk Server, we were able to increase fraud detection by more than 50 percent in the first month. These types of business results are outstanding and have led us to adopt additional Windows Server System solutions for business intelligence and business process management.”

Microsoft launched BizTalk Server 2004 in March 2004, to provide added features and functionality for customers looking to connect their applications, employees, customers and partners. With these enhancements, BizTalk Server 2004 helped customers achieve a significant return on investment (ROI) and enabled them to build a connected systems infrastructure across retail, manufacturing, healthcare and financial vertical markets.

“Weve been working with BizTalk Server since the beginning, and it has helped Sapient deliver enterprise integration solutions to a wide range of our Global 2000 clients,”
said Ben Gaucherin, chief technology officer of Sapient Corp., a business consulting and technology services firm.

“Recently we helped Rock-Tenn, a leading manufacturer, design and implement a BizTalk Server 2004 solution that allows it to share and manage data across multiple systems, business processes and geographies to create meaningful information and business intelligence.
