Convergence 2007, “Ready Together,” Will Showcase the Power of Microsoft Dynamics Solutions

SAN DIEGO — March 7, 2007 — Microsoft Corp. will kick off Convergence 2007 next week in San Diego. The biannual customer conference for Microsoft Dynamics™ will take place March 11 through March 14 at the San Diego Convention Center. More than 8,000 attendees are expected.

Microsoft® Convergence brings together customers, partners, team members and industry experts in an environment created for discussing solutions, addressing business needs and establishing a true community that can be drawn upon throughout the year. Attendees will have many opportunities to network in formal and informal settings throughout the event and can hear the vision and strategy of key Microsoft executives. This builds attendees’ skills across all Microsoft platforms and provides insight into the future of the company, product direction and investments. This insight in turn helps attendees align their business accordingly to take full advantage of the benefits of current and future Microsoft technology.

Microsoft Convergence 2007 includes a comprehensive agenda of speakers, detailed product demonstrations and in-depth educational sessions. Keynote speakers include Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer of Microsoft; Doug Burgum, senior vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions Group; Satya Nadella, corporate vice president of the Microsoft Business Solutions Group; and Joel Barker, the first person to popularize the concept of paradigm shifts for the corporate world. Nadella, in his address on March 12, will elaborate on the ways that Microsoft Dynamics is helping businesses bridge the productivity gap. Ballmer’s address on March 14 will highlight key issues facing business leaders in today’s competitive environments and will showcase new solutions from Microsoft Dynamics that enable customers to rise to these challenges and build a People-Ready Business.

“Since last year’s Convergence we’ve made tremendous progress in delivering solutions that fully support our customers’ vision of business,” Nadella said. “I am confident that Convergence 2007 will provide our customers, partners and team members with the opportunity to share their insight and expertise with one another. With so much innovation being delivered, attending Convergence is an investment that’s sure to pay off.”

The winners of the 11th annual Pinnacle Awards, which recognize the outstanding achievements of Microsoft Dynamics customers, will be honored at the event.

The theme of this year’s conference, “Ready Together,” reflects Microsoft’s commitment to delivering role-relevant technology and services that are ready for the people who make businesses succeed.
