REDMOND, Wash. — May 30, 2007 — Microsoft Corp. today announced that QEK Global Solutions, a leading provider of vehicle management solutions, has selected Microsoft Dynamics™ AX 4.0 as a single solution to improve visibility throughout the organization and accommodate the company’s growth by scaling to multiple locations and distribution channels across North America. QEK’s North American headquarters is in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
The multinational, integrated fleet services company, which operates five sites throughout Michigan and in Ontario, Canada, decided to replace its aging AS/400 financial application and the ADP Dealer Management System with the Microsoft Dynamics product to better manage its complex, variable business processes and streamline invoicing procedures. The system’s high degree of flexibility, adaptability and ease of use also contributed to the selection.
“We had outgrown our legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and needed to implement a single solution that would provide true integration throughout our U.S. and Canadian operations,” said Tom Cyr, chief information officer with QEK. “We needed technology that was truly scalable and that was intuitive for users throughout our company via a familiar look and feel with other Microsoft® products already in use. We found the solution to our challenges in Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0.”
Specific areas in which QEK plans to realize benefits include the following:
-
Power. QEK expects to benefit from having a flexible solution based on the Microsoft platform, which will allow the company to give its users a tool to make better decisions and further enhance profitability.
-
Vision. QEK will realize its vision of an ERP system that’s easy to use and allows people to see the operation at every level, from purchasing and service management operations all the way to the financial impact of a decision.
-
Value. QEK selected the Microsoft Dynamics solution in part because of its ability to seamlessly connect all of QEK’s operations using industry-standard tools and the look and feel of products being used every day. Compared with other systems that QEK evaluated, Microsoft’s provided users with a level of comfort that others could not match.
Fullscope Inc., a Gold Certified Partner that specializes in helping organizations manage their business more effectively and efficiently, worked with QEK to select the solution. Throughout the selection process, Fullscope consistently demonstrated how Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 enables users to easily view data as it is captured and instantly make business decisions that will help the company better meet its business objectives both now and in the future.
“To thrive in an increasingly competitive and global marketplace, it’s critical that QEK have the ability to operate seamlessly across multiple locations in two countries,” said Michael Park, corporate vice president for the U.S. Microsoft Dynamics business. “The ability, which is a key component of Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0, made the solution an ideal choice for supporting QEK’s dynamic vision for future growth.”
