What: Microsoft Corp. will showcase innovative technologies that help multichannel retailers deliver a differentiated experience:

  • Innovation Alley includes a collection of new, game-changing technologies and product categories, including Microsoft Surface, Microsoft’s first surface computer that provides retailers with opportunities to transform the customer experience with distinct, easy and natural ways to interact with digital content.

  • Store and Headquarters Solutions will feature powerful ways for retail employees to strengthen customer relationships, increase productivity and improve operational efficiencies, including store-to-headquarters collaboration and business intelligence. In addition, the company will unveil a fully integrated end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics solution for specialty retail chains, and will also feature current Microsoft Dynamics products that provide retailers with integrated and adaptable financial, customer relationship and supply chain management capabilities.

  • Brand new this year is an At-Home section of Microsoft’s booth that will showcase emerging ways for retailers to better connect with their customers by extending at-home services across a number of access points, devices and contexts. This gives consumers, for example, the ability to make a purchase from their Xbox gaming console or through a PC-based video game.
