Microsoft rolled out Windows 10, the successor to its desktop operating system Windows 8.1.
The highly anticipated update was free to millions of Windows users and featured new innovations like the Cortana intelligent assistant, the Edge browser, the ability to stream Xbox games, new options for biometric login and a feature that shifts between tablet or smartphone mode to desktop and back.
Windows 10 reached 75 million devices in just four weeks, outpacing all of Microsoft’s previous launches. Today there are more than 700 million devices running Windows 10.
