Resilience

Continuity of business operations is integral to the success of any business, especially in recent times. Our local datacenter region will comprise of three separate sites, supported by two more separate gateways, in multiple locations, with multiple fibre connections along multiple routes. This ensures no data needs to be backed up offshore and operations are totally resilient. This is world-class infrastructure, the likes of which this country has never seen before.

  • Microsoft Azure powers 95% of Fortune 500 companies around the world.
  • Globally, we’re investing in hyperscale datacenters that provide the maximum resilience and security, while offering accessible tools empowering everyone to flexibly work, learn, collaborate, and innovate from anywhere.
  • Our industry clouds for healthcare, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and sustainability bring together common data models, cross-cloud connectors, workflows, APIs, and industry-specific components and standards, with the breadth of Microsoft’s cloud services and security solutions.

  • Covid has accelerated a global transformation in the importance of tools and technologies to enable business continuity. Access to the vast storage and compute power of a local hyperscale datacenter region will enable more organisations to scale up their operations to any size required when needed.
  • Microsoft’s open-source journey began more than 10 years ago and we’ve been a significant and growing contributor to open source projects ever since. Azure datacenters are world-class facilities with resilient components built in.
  • We implement all the required mechanisms to achieve high power availability in the datacenter region. We have on-site generators, redundant capabilities, two feeds to every server so if utility power fails, we can shift over to generators on the second feed without disrupting servers. We also have batteries to manage transitions between power feeds.
