They include: “Xbox, Notifications” to see a rundown of recent notifications, including invites, installations and achievements; “Xbox, Switch,” which switches input focus between your main screen and a snapped app (great for pausing Netflix, for example); and “Xbox, Invite,” to pick from your friend list by number, with online friends listed first.

Skype’s got a playbook for connecting with mom on her big day

May updates for Xbox One include opt-in setting to help improve voice recognition

Updates coming to Xbox One in May include an opt-in option to help improve speech recognition, a new sound mixer for snapped apps and chat volume controls when using Kinect, reports Larry Hryb, Xbox’s Major Nelson. “The more voice samples we have to input into our algorithms, the better and more responsive Xbox One can be to our fans,” he writes on his blog.
