Meet the judges for Microsoft’s YouthSpark Challenge for Change

In May, Microsoft launched the YouthSpark Challenge for Change. Young people aged 18 to 25 were asked to share a social cause near and dear to their hearts and devise a way to address that cause using Windows and Office. The submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges, who were introduced today.

Internet Explorer 10 bests other browsers as biggest energy saver on Windows 8

The Center for Sustainable Energy Systems at Fraunhofer USA found IE uses up to 18 percent less energy than Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. To put that in perspective, if every Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox user in the United States switched to IE 10 on Windows 8 for a year, the energy saved could power over 10,000 households in the United States for that year.
