Chief Marketing & Operations Officer, Microsoft Malaysia
Azizah Ali currently helms the role of Chief Marketing & Operations Officer at Microsoft Malaysia, leading business operations, marketing strategy, and overall business performance for the various business groups under Microsoft Malaysia while delivering successful digital transformation for its customers and partners. Additionally, Azizah plays a key role in growing the Microsoft Marketing & Operations (M&O) team to drive the company’s Bersama Malaysia initiative.
An industry veteran with more than two decades of experience, Azizah has been a trusted technology leader and advisor for organizations and governments across Asia Pacific in enabling them to realize and achieve their digital transformation visions and ambitions.
Azizah started her career at Microsoft more than two decades ago serving multiple portfolios. Previously helming the role of Director of Small, Medium, and Corporate (SMC) Group, Azizah was instrumental in helping SMCs achieve their digital transformation goals by leveraging Microsoft solutions and Microsoft’s vibrant partner ecosystem. Under her leadership, she helped drive the Malaysia subsidiary’s performance, delivering double-digit growth across Corporate and Small & Medium Businesses (SMB).
Prior to that, she also helmed the role of Director of Public Sector Group for Microsoft Malaysia, leading key initiatives in establishing the framework collaboration model and eGovernment projects with the Government of Malaysia. Following her success here, Azizah was appointed as the Country Manager for Microsoft Brunei. During her four-year tenure in this role, she led the collaboration between the Government of Brunei and Microsoft to establish the Brunei Software Development Centre as the catalyst to drive government operational efficiency via the adoption of new applications.
Simultaneously, she worked with the Government on technology standardization to increase civil service productivity and competency development while building the partner ecosystem to support the Brunei market.
She then returned to Microsoft Malaysia as the Director for Small, Mid-Market Solutions and Partner Group where she built the partner ecosystem to support the growth acceleration of SMEs leveraging on the cloud.
In 2017, she took on another international role as Microsoft Asia Pacific’s Enterprise Channel Lead in One Commercial Partner organization where she worked with the partner ecosystem in supporting the customers’ cloud digital transformation journey across multiple industries namely Energy, Healthcare and Government before assuming her present role in September 2021.
Azizah holds an MBA from Aston University, UK; a BSc. In Business Administration from Washington University, USA; and a Diploma in Business Administration from State University of New York at Buffalo and Institut Teknologi MARA.
Outside of work, Azizah enjoys spending her time with her family, traveling and discovering new cities and nature.
