Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards

Rapid Circle, Arinco, Velrada, Volpara, Five P and Data#3 take out hotly contested local partner titles.

Australia/New Zealand 19 July, 2023 – In a first for the ANZ region, Microsoft has celebrated local partners with a new award programme aligning back to the global Partner of the Year programme.

The ANZ Partner Awards acknowledge partners in a broad range of categories, including awards for Partner for Purpose, ANZ Business Applications and Industry, Azure, SaaS and Modern Work & Security.

“All of our partners do exceptional work, so it is great to be able to recognise more of them than just the Global Winners and Country Partner of Year winners this year. Our partners are the creative engine of the tech industry and we’re constantly impressed by the impact their work is having on people, communities and organisations,” says Vanessa Sorenson, Chief Partner Officer ANZ and Managing Director Microsoft New Zealand.

“The value these companies bring extends beyond sales and solutions, making work and lives easier, changing the way people and organisations see and do things. Each partner brings a unique perspective that taken together, makes our whole ecosystem vibrant and exciting.”

Rapid Circle was a stand-out winner for the ANZ Partner for Purpose award, having changed the lives of thousands of Australians over the past year. The platform they co-created with Youth, Family and Indigenous Services Provider, Campbell Page, enabled more young mothers to increase their participation in employment and further their education. Via the cloud infrastructure they are delivering for the North East Link, they are also significantly reducing travel time and providing 10,000 jobs for the community.

ANZ Business Applications and Industry winner, Velrada, has had a hugely impressive year in FY23, expanding the business globally, entering new industries, and delivering exceptional solutions for customers. Judges called particular attention to Velrada’s ‘Next Generation Telehealth’ solution that uses Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and Azure to enable patients to be assessed by specialists remotely. This solution has saved patients an estimated 2 million kilometres of transit time each year, not to mention the costs associated with this travel and improved health outcomes from being seen sooner.

Arinco was recognised with the title of ANZ Azure partner for its industry leading solution, Azure Done Right, that is setting customers up with the strong foundations that are crucial in enabling resilient future-ready businesses across the ANZ region. The company is also on track to reach 65 million in Azure Cloud Registrations this financial year.

FiveP and Data#3, who were also recognised as winners in the global awards, shared the ANZ Modern Work and Security win, while the overall New Zealand Partner of The Year, Volpara, also took out the local ANZ SaaS category for the way it’s diversified into new fields, such as identifying cardiovascular issues in patients.

“It’s been two years now since we came together as an ANZ region, and these winners demonstrate the breadth and depth of the talent and solutions we create across our amazing partner network here in Australasia. We’re excited to think of what opportunities the next 12 months will hold,” adds Sorenson.

The local ANZ Partner Award category winners are:

  • ANZ Partner for purpose: Rapid Circle
  • ANZ Business Applications and industry: Velrada
  • ANZ Azure: Arinco
  • ANZ Modern Work and Security: FiveP and Data#3
  • ANZ SaaS: Volpara
