Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Amy Hood is the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Microsoft and is responsible for leading the company’s worldwide finance organization, including accounting and reporting, acquisitions, business operations, global real estate, internal audit, investor relations, tax planning and treasury.

Hood joined Microsoft in 2002 and became EVP and CFO in 2013. Through her tenure with the company, she has advanced global momentum in cloud and helped Microsoft and its customers drive growth through technological shifts, including this new era of AI. She is deeply involved in the company’s operations, as well as the strategy development and overall execution of the company’s successful acquisitions of Activision Blizzard, LinkedIn and GitHub.

She has been a strategic partner to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, propelling long-term financial growth, championing culture and driving corporate initiatives that have bolstered the company’s broader ecosystem. She has also served on the board of directors of 3M since 2017.

Hood earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University.
