Microsoft researchers making an impact at Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Data Communication

The annual conference of the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Data Communication (SIGCOMM), being held Aug. 17 to 22 in Chicago, is an important event for those who follow the latest developments in applications, technologies, architectures and protocols for computer communication. Microsoft researchers wrote or co-wrote nine papers that were accepted for SIGCOMM.

Microsoft Research, Bing, Visual Studio collaboration helps developers get even more productive

In February, Bing Code Search, a project to deliver new tools to save developers time and make software development easier, was introduced by Microsoft Research. On Aug. 18, the Bing Development Assistant Team announced the release of the beta version of the Bing Developer Assistant for Visual Studio, which combines the functionalities of two popular Visual Studio extensions: Sample Browser and Bing Code Search.
