Windows Phone Store making it easier to charge apps to your phone bill

For many people around the world, it’s easier to download mobile apps and games when the charges can be applied to a phone bill, rather than a credit card. Singapore is the first country to offer operator billing for Windows Phone devices across 100 percent of its mobile networks. About 64 places around the world are adopting this payment system, with more added every day.

With folders, you can group apps, people, websites and OneNote notebooks for convenient access. In the example above, a vacation folder contains a packing list, a Tile for the destination from the Bing Weather app and the airline app for the trip.

Look for Surface on the sidelines this season, helping NFL teams get faster snapshots

For the upcoming 2014-15 NFL season, teams are being equipped with Surface tablets and Microsoft’s Sideline Viewing System (SVS) App, to make it easier and faster for players and coaches to see pre- and post-snap photos to review what went well and what didn’t in previous possessions, as well as to strategize ways to attack the opposing side.
