2014 Microsoft Life Sciences Innovation Award winners announced

The awards were presented Tuesday at the Drug Information Association’s (DIA) 50th annual meeting in San Diego. They emphasize the achievements of life sciences companies that have streamlined processes to help speed therapeutic breakthroughs for serious health ailments using Microsoft products and technologies.

June Xbox Development Kit includes more access to additional GPU bandwidth

Before, 10 percent of the GPU “was reserved for system level processing which included Kinect-related skeletal tracking data,” says Kareem Choudhry. “With this change, titles that are not using skeletal tracking with Kinect can choose to use that portion of the system reserve for other purposes. We have also optimized the entire system so that titles have access to 100 percent of the Xbox One GPU for increased resolution and graphical effects.”
