New to Windows Phone 8.1 is the ability to create and run apps written in JavaScript, just as you can on Windows 8.1. But there are some differences in the specific APIs available to apps on Windows Phone 8.1.

Developers can now register for Microsoft’s Unity game porting lab, which will take place Aug. 19 from 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., at the Westin Seattle. A team of Microsoft experts will be available to give you a quick start to porting your Unity games to Windows and Windows Phone.
