Windows 8.1 introduces a display that lets you wirelessly project to a big screen without having to deal with proprietary technologies, network access and different display cables and adapters.

Windows 8.1 has added some new text features to make the development experience better and the desired end product easier to achieve.

Coinciding with the release of Windows 8.1, NOOK – which gives you access to 3 million books, magazines, newspapers, and comics – was recently updated with more live tile sizes and improved ways to search and organize content.

In the Windows 8.1 update, you’ll see some changes to the Windows Store that make it easier to find apps you might like.

Nonprofit organizations and public libraries can now get Windows 8.1 through Microsoft’s software donation program, the Corporate Citizenship Blog reports.
