Microsoft’s longtime experience in building some of the largest cloud applications in the world pays off handsomely with its release Friday of Windows Server 2012 R2, now generally available.

In step with Windows 8.1 general availability, Microsoft announced on Friday the general availability of Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center 2012 R2 and a new release of Windows Intune, delivering “wave 2” of Microsoft’s Cloud operating system.
