If you like tower defense games, you know they’re rare for consoles. Hidden Path’s “Defense Grid: The Awakening” was played by more than a million people on Xbox 360, and later this year, players will see “Defense Grid 2” for Xbox One.

“Kinect Sports Rivals” launched Tuesday for Xbox One, so it’s now you against the world in sports including wake racing, climbing, target shooting, soccer, bowling and tennis. Yes, it’s really you: Kinect technology scans your likeness, putting you in the game.

New features are being added to the Xbox One system update for those gamers who are previewing the system update, writes Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson.

Now on Xbox One, players fall into three categories of reputation score: “Green = Good Player” (the majority of users), “Yellow = Needs Work” and “Red = Avoid Me.” By looking at someone’s Gamercard you can quickly see their reputation, which is based on community feedback. The more hours you play fairly online without being reported as abusive by other players, the better your reputation will be – and the more you’re likely to reap rewards for good behavior.
